About Us

We have a variety of backgrounds including strategy, education, technology and writing which enables us to deliver an unparalleled quality of service and focus for our customers and partners.

We have built on our experience with in-depth research into exactly what elements of websites are relatively straightforward and highly useful. The work has culminated in the services on our site and sister sites.

Our Chief Writer, Chris Stevens

  • Has shipped over half-a-million mobile apps and is the designer behind multiple number one apps
  • Authored the best-selling app-design books Designing for the iPad and Appillionaires
  • Has been featured in Apple's global TV ad campaigns for the iPad
  • Runs Atomic Antelope, the publishing house that created the hit apps Alice in Wonderland, Alice in New York, Twitch, and Bauble
  • Presented and directed Space Bubble, the popular CNET gadget show
  • Won a Guardian Media Award for his work as a journalist, and two Kirkus awards for his apps

Chris designed Alice for the iPad. Gizmodo called it "The cleverest iPad book yet" and the BBC said it was "A glimpse of the future of digital reading". Alice for the iPad was also a guest on The Oprah Winfrey Show where Oprah told her audience it would "change the way kids learn". He is also the creator of 'Alice in New York'. Chris collaborated on the number-one app 'Nursery Rhymes with Storytime'. Today Chris runs Atomic Antelope, the publishing house that created Alice for the iPad.

The EwB Team

Adam Lacey

Adam joined EwB in October 2012 and has the easy job of selling EwB’s high quality courses. He graduated from the University of Nottingham with a degree in European Politics and joined London-based car club Streetcar shortly after where he worked for 3 years. Adam is a keen tennis player, enjoys bad puns – as do we, so he can breathe easily at Exhale with Business.

Marc Zao-Sanders

Marc started his career in strategy. He then applied the skills learnt there to a number of small businesses including Pure Potential and accessprofessions.com. Over the course of this period he began to realise the shortage of basic business skills in the work place and wanted to do something about it. And so the idea of Excel with Business was born in 2007. Marc is now EwB's managing director.

Ashika Pindolia

Ashi lives in Australia and works in EwB’s overseas office to help keep customer services ticking over 24/7. As a big fan of sun, sea and sand, Australia seems to have been a wise move for Ashi (from the UK). She is a qualified beauty therapist and gym junkie so she knows the importance of Exfoliating and Exercising with Business.

Punit Shah

Punit joined EwB at an exciting time of expansion in 2012 with responsibility for finance and operations. Like Ben, he has a degree in mathematics and they frequently argue about which of them loves Pi more. With a ACCA professional qualification, Punit brings a variety of experiences from working at an accountancy practice in London where he initially started his career. He enjoys playing sports, reading books, and of course, creating spreadsheets.

Benjamin Brown

Graduating with a first-class Maths degree from Oxford, Ben helps Sam make all our sites look nice and work well. In his spare time, Ben plays the electric guitar like Mark Knopfler, gets his money for nothing, and his chicks for free. Actually he works hard for his money and we're glad to have him. Ben is over six feet tall, likes cats, and always chooses the largest slice of pizza for himself.

Sam Relleen

Sam is our resident in-house IT expert with over 10 years' experience in the field of designing and managing websites. He currently manages our suite of sites that spans six courses and five languages. Most recently he has been responsible for our Web Design course and editing content from our writers, as well as contributing some outstanding stuff himself. Sam is by far the most careful speaker we ever have known.

Chris Littlewood PhD

Chris's first experience of Microsoft applications was as a PhD student, conducting particle physics experiments in Geneva. Since then he's worked in strategy and rail industry financial planning. From corporates to the public sector, he's found the same simple skills to be key to the presentation of research and analysis. Chris is in charge of the on-going improvement of our courses.

Simon Hurst

Simon Hurst is a Chartered Accountant and has been involved in computer software for 26 years during which he has provided a wide range of training services to professionals of all levels. His expertise lies in all the main Microsoft applications: Access, Word, PowerPoint and Excel, about which he speaks frequently at conferences. He is also a prolific writer and has had a hand in each of our Microsoft courses.

Chris Paterson

With a long standing interest in technology, Chris, our other IT expert, has gone from building his own computers to large, complicated telephony networks. He read Economics & Management at Oxford, relishes the idea of constructing online learning systems and loves exploring the best methods of delivering our services to customers. Chris and Ben are about as tall as each other.

Vinit Patel

Vinit joined Marc and Chris (Littlewood) shortly after EwB's inception and before he had even completed his Economics degree from UCL. Vin has had a massive impact on every aspect of the business, bringing a wealth of business experience from Bank of Scotland and Deloitte. Vinit is now in charge of finance and operations here. When he's not working Vin likes to run very long distances for charity.

Luke Revel-Burroughes

Luke joined EwB in April 2012 as Customer Services Manager and is no doubt the reason the company has grown so quickly since then. His personally-proclaimed people skills place him perfectly to serve our large customer base. Luke uses his Philosophy & Psychology degree to read minds and resolve the ontological conflict betwixt nihilist and existentialist thought, irrespectively.
